Prince Ali commends success of Norway-ME girl's festival
Prince Ali commends success of Norway-Middle East girl's festival
FIFA Vice President representing Asia and President of the Jordan Football Association HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein congratulated Mr. Yngve Hallen, President of the Norway Football Association on the success of the the Annual Norway-Middle East girl’s festival held in Amman, Jordan this month.
Girls aged 14 -16 years from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Norway gathered to play football, build friendships and exchange experiences through participating in an extensive week of training, capacity building, football games and social activities on Petra Stadium in Amman.
Prince Ali commended the continued efforts of Mr. Hallen and the Norwegian Football Association towards women empowerment through football, "This direct cooperation between the women’s football families in the Middle East and Norway forms an effective cross-cultural platform for capacity building and social development" Prince Ali said.
"On behalf of the Jordan Football Association, we thank the Norway FA for their support. It was a pleasure hosting the festival for the fourth consecutive year and we hope to have the opportunity to work together on more football projects in Jordan and the region in the near future" added Prince Ali.
